John Buchanan's comments - Aussie cricketers' habits

Some people are good in their profession. Their best lies beyond their profession.

The Aussie cricketers are known for that. They have been making their presence felt always by passing unrealistic comments on the best players across the globe. That is one way they play their game.

Best would be, ignore the Aussie comments irrespective of what they mean, good or bad.

What went against Lalu in 2009 elections

There are various political and local reasons for the poor show of Lalu’s RJD in the recently concluded 2009 Lok Sabha polls. Similar to few other parties like BSP, LJP, JD(S) etc which are woven around a strong leader, RJD swears by Lalu. So, the party’s hits and misses are naturally attributed to the leader.

Despite Lalu’s resounding success as a Railway Minister and soaring popularity chart, it is believed that one simple & human thought has influenced the results of his party.

In his zeal to turn around the performance of Railways, Lalu had stretched all limits which fetched him best results which are laudable. One such simple move is considered to have left a huge negative influence that left his party bite the dust.

The plan to introduce the middle berth in the side for sleeper class sounded a great idea. Probably the plan was not tested before implementation. The railway coaches where not redesigned but middle berth was squeezed into the sides. This left 1/3rd of the sleeper coach passengers in discomfort. Specially if the passengers were aged, disabled, ill or with overweight who found it impossible to get into the upper berth. They all cursed the people behind the plans and the person who was responsible for this.

Though Railways announced withdrawal of this middle berth allotment service way back in Feb 2009, it was being followed as recently as 28th May. It does not matter if the service is withdrawn. What matters is bringing down the side upper berth to its original position and giving respite to the side upper berth passenger!

Traditionally we Indians believe that blessings and curses of people matter a lot. So YOU CAN GUESS THE IMPACT OF THE 1/3RD SECOND SLEEPER TRAVELLERS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF RJD!!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE RESULTS HAVE PROVEN!!!

IS MAMATADI READING THIS? Didi, Can we hope for the lowering of the side upper berth to its original height?

I

Across the Globe several great thinkers, philosophers and others have given their best views on a Man/Woman as himself/herself.

Here, these are simple thoughts of a common man as a creature.

For me, “I” am everything. Everything revolves around me. It is to say that everything is done by me for my own sake. It means everything.

“I” own everything, or “I” believe to own which is the cause of my action. Liking for some people (friends, family, relatives, etc) stems out of the fact that “I” have developed belongingness to them or “I” believe they belong to me.

“I” identify myself with my Country, Religion, Community, College, School, Locality, Language, etc and then weave (or look for) all the greatness associated with it. Fight for the created cause due to the sense of so called pride, honour or Love. Even charity comes out of the fact that it gives a sense of satisfaction. It is an inner self “I” which is happy having done that something for society, mankind, nature, animals, etc.

In the end “I” see, that “I” exist, thus everything exists. “I” exist in You as much as in myself. Since “I” exist, we exist. When “I” do not exist, nothing exists.
